To set up courses for comps, you will need to configure the course. The course will have only one default topic section, be in the topic format, and have no end date. The start date will be the beginning of the term. Follow the steps below to complete the course setup.
Course Settings
Step 1
Click the Admin gear
Step 2
Under Course configuration, click Edit settings
Step 3
Course start date should be set to the beginning of the term
Step 4
Course end date should have Enable unchecked (i.e. disabled)
Step 5
Set Course Format to Topics format
Step 6
Click Save and display
Remove Activities and Resource
Step 1
Click Course Dashboard
Step 2
Edit blocks
Step 3
Delete Activities and Resources block
Click gear on the block and click Delete Activities and Resources block
Step 4
Click Yes
Step 5
Click Turn Editing Off
Remove Extra Topic Sections
Step 1
In the table of contents, click a section for deletion
Step 2
Click the X to delete
Step 3
Repeat until there is only one default section.
