    SafeAssign Originality Report

    The SafeAssign Originality Report feature within Blackboard is a vital tool for instructors to uphold academic integrity and assess the originality of student submissions. By leveraging SafeAssign, educators can automatically compare student work against a vast database of academic sources, internet content, and previously submitted papers to detect any instances of plagiarism or improper citation. The Originality Report provides instructors with detailed information regarding the similarity percentage between the submitted work and existing sources, allowing them to make informed decisions about the authenticity of student contributions.

    To view the SafeAssign originality report,  select a student submission from the Submissions tab of the desired assignment: 

     

    On the Student Submission page, click on the Originality Report tab located on the right-hand side of the student’s submission:

     

    Here you can view the Overall Risk Level, which is determined based on the average text-matching range the attempt falls in:

     

    To view the complete Originality Report, click on Additional content:
