    Adding Assignment Instructions from Teams

    Step 1

    Open Microsoft Teams

    Step 2

    Go to the Team belonging to your class (e.g. OM651)

    Step 3

    Go to the Course Files channel

    Step 4

    Go to the Files tab

    Step 5

    Go to the term the class is running in

    Step 6

    Go to the Assignment Directions folder

    Step 7

    Create, upload or update assignment directions

    Create new assignment directions

    Step 1

    Select New > Word document

    Step 2

    Name the document and click Create

        Recommended: Use the same name that will appear in the syllabus and in Moodle 

    Step 3

    Type in your assignment directions

    Upload a local word document

    Step 1

    Click Upload

    Step 2

    Select your file

    Update existing assignment directions

    Step 1

    Click the assignment

    Step 2

    Click Edit > Open in Browser 

    Step 8

    Copy and paste the following text into the Document

    When you are ready to submit the assignment, click the Back button to return to the course.

    Step 9

    Edit the assignment description in Moodle

    1. Go to the assignment Description
    2. Copy and paste the following text into the Moodle assignment directions:
      Click here to view the detailed assignment directions.

    Step 10

    Copy a share link

    1. Go back to Teams
    2. Click the ellipses menu next to the assignment name
    3. Click Open in Browser
    4. Click Share
    5. Click People in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with the link can edit
    6. Uncheck Allow editing and click Apply
    7. Be sure it now reads People in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with the link can view
    8. Click Copy link
    9. You should now see Link copied and People in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with the link can view

    Step 11

    Paste the link

    1. Select the text that was copied earlier and click the Insert/edit link button
    2. Paste the link into the Link URL field and click the Insert button
      Note: Target should always be set to Open in this window/frame
    3. Click the Save and display button
    4. Click the link
    5. Verify the assignment directions load
      Note: you will get the editable version even though you created a view-only link
